About

I'm a data and software engineer with 6+ years of experience, currently leading data engineering at Sossego, a Brazilian insurtech. My team owns the company's data foundation: we capture policies, claims, commissions and more from 17 insurance companies and make that data reliable for the teams that work with brokers and insurers every day.

I started in web development, building Next.js applications and APIs, and moved into data as the problems got more interesting. That background still shapes how I work: I care about pipelines that are observable and easy to maintain, and about the people who depend on the data at the other end.

Outside work, I make games. I've built an infinite runner and a Bomberman-like, and I'm learning 3D modeling to improve the latter.

  • Lead a team of 5 (platform, support engineering and data quality) that owns the company's data foundation and serves the internal teams working directly with brokers and insurers.
  • Together with my team, maintain 86+ ingestion pipelines that capture policies, installments, claims, proposals, renewals and commissions from 17 insurers, across 15 web portals and their APIs.
  • Brought order to a fragmented ingestion landscape by standardizing how pipelines are built and maintained, adding data quality checks and giving the business visibility into data health.
  • Orchestrate workloads with Dagster, Airbyte and Airflow on Kubernetes, with services running on GCP, AWS and Oracle Cloud.
  • Serve analytics from ClickHouse and transactional data from PostgreSQL, and support the teams that work on BigQuery.

An interactive map of the 1,090 bars competing in Comida di Buteco, one of Brazil's best-known bar food contests.

  • Python pipeline orchestrated with Prefect that extracts, cleans and enriches bar data and addresses.
  • Next.js app with search, a Leaflet map and a list view, filters by city and neighborhood, deployed on Vercel.

Thesis: “Análise de Incompatibilidade entre Licenças em Projetos de Código Aberto” (License incompatibility in open source projects), co-authored with Letícia Gonçalves. We analyzed 1,000 Node.js projects on GitHub and their npm dependencies, found that only 3.5% of project–dependency relationships conflicted with copyleft terms, and proposed a license-aware way to select libraries.
